Evan arrives early!

The end of an uneventful and wonderful pregnancy - likely my last. Evan James Alan was born at 4:24 am on April 18th. He was born, like his sister, in a birthing tub in our bedroom. It was hard pushing him out but. It took about 20 minutes...calm quiet then convulsions and an uncontrollable urge to push... in the end it was over as soon as it started with 5 pushes or so and then we were a wonderful family of four. Sister Kaia woke at 6 am. To her amazement, there was her little brother swaddled up at the end of the bed with the midwife. She lay down beside him looking at him and kissing him. It was so sweet. And when he cried...so did she...it was the sweetest thing.
